About Waco Engineering Services

Waco Engineering Services (WES) is a Temporary Works Consulting business which offers a full “risk ringfenced” service to customers by covering the design, equipment supply (via Form-Scaff or Doka) and on-site approval of temporary works. Customers receive the services of appropriately qualified, professionally registered and well experienced staff to design, inspect and approve the temporary works for an entire project, or any part thereof. WES has it own Professional Indemnity cover, over and above the Group’s comprehensive cover. WES is also a Level 2 BBBEE contributor.


Waco Engineering Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Waco Africa, which is part of the Waco International Group.

Where Waco Engineering Services (WES) fits into your Temporary Works Process

According to the regulations, a contractor must appoint a temporary works designer to design, inspect and approve the erected temporary works on site before use. The process below shows where WES fits into your construction plan.

Temporary works designs are done in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.

(Contractor - Regulation 12(2) and 12(3))

The contractor ensures that all temporary works operations are carried out under the supervision of a competent person and with close reference to the structural design drawings.

Inspect & Approve
(WES - Regulation 12(1))

All temporary works structures are inspected by a competent person before the placement of concrete. Casting of concrete may not happen until authorisation has been given.
